Boilly: Scenes of Parisian Life

National Gallery, London, to 19 May 2019

Some 20 works from a British private collection, never publicly displayed before, are shown at London's National Gallery as a tribute to the French artist Louis-Léopold Boilly (1761-1845), whose detailed and vivacious art so briliantly captured the feel of Parisian street life in the period 1785-1830.
