Van Gogh & Britain

Tate Britain, to 11 August 2019

An exhibition which seeks to highlight the way in which Vincent van Gogh was influenced by British art as a result of his stay in London during the years 1873-76. His huge curiosity was reflected in his admiration for British artists like Constable and Millais as well as the literature of Charles Dickens. More than 50 works by the artist are on show, as well as examples of how Van Gogh in turn inspired British artists like Francis Bacon (pictured).
