Between 1879-85, the French allegorical symbolist Gustave Moreau made watercolours to illustrate the 17th century fables of Jean de La Fontaine. Today, only 34 of the original 64 are known to have survived. They are on display in this exhibition, together with preparatory drawings, including animal studies made from life.
