Portraits of dogs

An interesting exhibition that looks at the different ways in which canines have been portrayed in art, almost as if they were "human" sitters. More than 50 paintings, drawings and sculptures have been assembled from different British museums. Work is included by artists as diverse as Thomas Gainsborough, Rosa Bonheur, George Stubbs and many others.
