This wonderful exhibition is the first retrospective on Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershøi (1864-1916), whose enigmatic paintings have attracted so much international attention in recent years. The makers of the exhibition have assembled some 100 works, which put Hammershøi's influence in context by showing his art together with that of his European contemporaries such as Le Sidaner, Lacoste, Khnopff, Carl Holsøe and many others.
