The interest in Nordic art is continuing apace, as this exhibition shows. Some 40 paintings will be displayed to illustrate the career of Danish female painter Anna Ancher (1895-1935), who played an important role in the artists' colony at Skagen. Her portrayal of the ordinary folk in the fishing community in Skagen stands as an example of fine 19th century northern realism.
