German Impressionism

Alte Nationalgalerie Berlin, to 27 September 2026

This exhibition looks at the role played by German art dealer Paul Cassirer (1871-1926) in spreading the acceptance of Impressionism in Germany. More than 100 paintings have been assembled here as an ode to Cassirer's pioneering work and spirit, including artists like Degas, Monet, Renoir, Liebermann, Corinth and Slevogt (pictured). A veritable cornucopia of Impressionism awaits the visitor.
