The artist Richard Dadd (1817-1886) is known in Britain for his strange depictions of the supernatural as well as orientalist subjects. A Victorian artist who was inspired by Shakespeare, literature and legends, he also suffered from mental illnes and ended up incarcerated In Broadmoor. There he continued to paint. This exhibition now brings together more than 100 of his works.
